“The Family in the Attic” follows an American family’s move to Wiesbaden, Germany after their father is employed under mysterious circumstances. The family’s youngest, Kai, befriends a boy and soon discovers that they aren’t living alone…
“The Family in the Attic” is a pilot-episode 37-page teleplay that I have written with the inspiration of Dark, The Haunting of series, and Black Mirror. The 80s Germany inspiration from comes from Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others), Goodbye Lenin! and my mother’s personal stories of growing up in Bremen.
