Representation Matters
As a nonbinary creator, I was inspired by Netflix’s Disclosure, a documentary feature that exhibits the history of transgender depictions within film, and the importance of showing non-transphobic representations of gender throughout film. My project, “What does a nonbinary character look like to you?,” is a reflection of the recent integration of specifically nonbinary representation in media. By doing so, I highlight the importance of including an accurate and positive nonbinary representation.
